When conducting vision therapy with children, one must never assume that what they say is meaningless or silly. This is a mistake! The therapist's task, apart from planning the therapy itself and ensuring that the exercises are performed correctly, is to build an appropriate relationship. You should try to make contact with your patient. Good communication is the basis for successful therapy. Therefore, each patient should be treated individually, with your full attention.
A child with special needs cannot be treated any differently, nor can one assume that trying out something new with the child is pointless. The exact opposite is true! In fact, you always have to look for new ways to attract attention and interest.
