The aim of the Insulin Resistance - Diagnosis and Management course is to present the most important information on insulin resistance, including the mechanisms responsible for the development of insulin resistance in tissues, methods of diagnosis and treatment and information necessary to properly balance the diet. The first 3 modules of the course contain information on insulin, factors leading to the development of tissue insulin resistance, as well as endocrinopathy and endocrine diseases in which insulin resistance is observed. The next 3 modules are devoted to diet, which plays a significant role in both the prevention and treatment of insulin resistance. They provide information that is helpful for balancing the diet for people struggling with insulin resistance. In a practical way, among others, the course will take you through how to calculate the demand for energy and macronutrients, enrich the diet with dietary fibre and indicate which popular diets are recommended by experts in the field of human nutrition.
